Lane County has launched a non-emergency call center in response to the evacuation notification and flooding. The call center is for community members who have non-emergency inquiries related to flooding.
The call center will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today, April 8, and is staffed by Lane County personnel. The number is 541-682-3977.
“We are hopeful that the call center will alleviate the number of non-emergency calls coming into our dispatch centers, and connect community members with someone who can answer their questions or connect them with local available resources,” said Lane County Emergency Manager Patence Winningham.
Emergency calls should still be directed to 911.
The call center may be available for multiple days, depending upon river levels and conditions.
